Flexibility through
an Edge in Technology

State-of-the-Art Solutions that Integrate
Seamlessly into Your IT Environment

Advancement in Technology as a Premise and a Site for Opportunity

The world of IT-systems has earned a reputation for constantly producing hypes and trends. Software and hardware outdo each other in superlatives and scope of performance.

What is considered state-of-the-art today may be an old hat tomorrow. And what about the day after tomorrow...? Especially in today’s day and age it is important to find a systems provider who has an overview over developments and devotes time and resources exclusively to follow up on technological trends which are picked up by the market and which promise to deliver long-lasting investment security. As a systems partner of well-known ERP/PPS/MES companies, as a development partner of database manufacturers, and as a partner of Microsoft, we operate on the cutting edge of technological development. With our more than 25 years of experience we observe trends in methods, technology, hardware, and software – evaluate, consider, invest, or discard trends, so that we can offer you only those which matter: the highest possible security and profitability for all investments into your company’s future!

Customer Use-Value as a Primary Concern – Feasibility Versus Practicality

CAQ AG Factory Systems developers, support staff, and sales associates have made it their responsibility to develop and sell software which is not only based on technological feasibility but also focuses on customer use-value. Practicality is most important; usability and use-value are always weighed against technological feasibility.

„.Net“-Technology – Limits Disappear

For over 20 years we have been accompanying you through the often confusing world of integrated data processing systems. Critical observation of trends and technology are especially important in the area of information technology – we have seen one “milestone” after another come and go. Microsoft has taken yet another step into the landscape of integrated system technology with .NET which dissolves the boundaries between your local PC, workstation, Intranet, and Internet.

Long before wide-market circulation of .NET, CAQ AG Factory Systems started to integrate this future-oriented technology into its range of products, not only as one of the first quality, environment, and production management software providers, but also in close cooperation with Microsoft and other leading database providers.

Mobility at Its Best – Localized and Decentralized – From PDA to Tablet PC

CAQ AG Factory Systems has shown the same security-focused future orientation with the integration of mobility and independence into its range of products. Whether PDA or Tablet PC – all modules in our range of products, from their inception, were designed to accommodate the highest degree of mobility and usability. Whether usage of pen and decentralized data gathering with state-of-the-art, light-weight and compact PDA’s, or local electronic audit data gathering with the inconspicuous but high-performance Tablet PC, or management tools with wireless connections directly integrated into your company network with the latest developments in mobile computing. We help you transgress the spatial limits in your present quality, environmental, and production management with the integration of mobile software solutions into all CAQ AG Factory Systems software modules!

At Your Location Or Available Worldwide – Intranet, Internet, and Terminal Server

Of course all CAQ AG Factory Systems software modules are optimized to be used on Citrix MetaFrame® or Terminal Server® clients (while maintaining compatibility to the Microsoft Windows operating system) and therefore support the simplest and most inexpensive approach to link technological performance with spatial flexibility even with low bandwidths and down to the simplest IT administration set-ups. We support the most straightforward manner to achieve worldwide usage of your CAQ AG Factory Systems software modules via the Internet through consistant usage of Citrix MetaFrame® or Terminal Server® web-client services – highest flexibility without compromises!

The Database – Platform for Success

CAQ AG Factory Systems software depends on proven and established systems when it comes to database systems. Whether MS Access structure for simple and quick data access on notebooks, decentralized inspection terminals, or as a cost-free introduction into the world of CAQ AG Factory Systems for systems with, so far, few simultaneous users.

As a partner in development of leading database providers, such as Microsoft and its MS SQL Server or Oracle, CAQ AG Factory Systems continually works at optimizing and perfecting the interplay between databases and applications. We consistently employ any improvement potential for automation and increase in performance in order to connect technological feasibility with practicality – but one thing always applies: no experimentation at the expense of security and stability! It is to be expected that you will not necessarily be tied to one single database forever – it is important to have the option to change onto another platform at any time as demands increase and economical and organizational effectiveness change!

Integration into Perfection – Say Good-Bye to the Classic Peripheral

A few years ago, connecting highly integrated and automated systems for quality, environmental, and production management was still a nightmare for many systems administrators and, due to cost factors, often an impossibility.

Connect.Net®, with its user-friendly menu structure, its numerous import and export functions, its large numbers of pre-defined function libraries, and its extremely simple and logical scalability has eliminated, once and for all, the myth of “a secret science” and taken the bogeyman out of administrative tasks. CAQ AG Factory Systems’ numerous pre-defined function libraries of interfaces to SAP, Microsoft Business Solutions, Infor Business Solutions, Bäurer, Brain, ProAlpha, as well as to many other PPS/ERP providers are available with Connect.Net®’s standard version.

Microsoft Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 7 (with the up-to-date service pack) as 32-bit or 64-bit version. A client with at least 1 GB RAM (depending on complexity) is recommended. Due to the fact that Microsoft has stopped providing technical support since Juni 07, 2006 for the old operating systems Microsoft Windows 98 and Windows ME as well as Microsoft Windows 2000, we cannot provide support for our software products running on these operating systems either.
  • Server
Microsoft Windows 2003, 2008 or other servers, which make data accessible through a TCP/IP connection. Optional support of Microsoft Terminal Server or Citrix (while maintaining compatibility to the Microsoft Windows operating system). Your customer service specialist will gladly assist you.
